As part of its 108th anniversary, Citroen India has introduced a special edition of the Basalt X coupe SUV. Called the Citroen Basalt X Comfort Edition, the model is being offered at starting price of Rs 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker says that the special edition features “premium interior enhancements, thoughtful convenience features and curated personalization options” designed to meet the real-world requirements of Indian customers.
Citroen Basalt X Comfort Edition – Key Features
The Basalt X Comfort Edition comes with leatherette interiors as standard along with curated Comfort AXS Packs, providing multiple personalization options. Other key highlights include an electric adjust and auto fold ORVMs, one-touch auto down-all 4 power windows (standard), black soft-touch IP and door trims, proxi-sense passive entry and push start/stop, a 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear tilt cushion and winged headrests, ambient lighting and tropicalized auto AC with 14 degree cooling.
To further enhance passenger comfort, Citroen has equipped the SUV with an advanced comfort suspension and 180mm of ground clearance. The special edition offers a boot space of 470-litres.
Engine & Gearbox Options
Mechanically, the Citroen Basalt X Comfort Edition remains unchanged. The standard model is currently available with a 110hp, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol and an 82hp, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine options. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual (available only on the entry-level variants), a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
