Bidar: A case relating to the murder of a girl in Kamala Nagar taluk, Bidar district was handed over to the CID for investigation. An order to this effect was issued on Thursday.A 16-year-old Dalit girl, who was a Kabaddi player, was found dead under suspicious circumstances on May 20, triggering protests by Dalit organisations. They demanded a CID investigation into the case. Following these protests, DGP MA Saleem has issued an order handing over the case, crime No. 53/2026 registered under BNS 352, 351, (2), 108 at Aurad police station, to the CID with immediate effect.Following the transfer, Bidar DSP handed over the case files to the investigating officer on Friday. Bengaluru CID special unit and the financial crimes branch were directed to carry out the investigation and submit a detailed report after the probe.
