As the Narendra Modi-led NDA government nears 12 years in office, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for an unprecedented nationwide public outreach blitz of its achievements. Designed to take the administration’s governance record directly to the citizens, a month-long outreach campaign will be held from June 9 to July 9, centred on “12 years, top 12 achievements”.

In preparation for this massive public outreach exercise, union ministers have been requested for detailed performance reports to streamline the strategy and ensure seamless execution between the government and the party organisation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also convened a council of ministers meeting on May 21.

BJP leadership views this milestone not merely as a celebratory occasion but as an opportunity for structural public dialogue and to build public connect. For an entire month, an army of party cadres, including union ministers, MPs, MLAs, and grassroots workers, will hit the ground to present the Modi government report card of 12 years.

As per top BJP sources, the core of this outreach will be structured around 12 key pillars of achievement of the Modi government.

1. Naxal-Free India: Decisive Naxal eradication through a security and development model.

2. Operation Sindoor & Zero Tolerance on Terrorism: From surgical strikes and Balakot to new military strategies and developing a new doctrine.

3. From GST to GST Reforms 2.0: Economic integration and simplification of the tax structure.

4. Waqf Amendment & Major Reformative Decisions: Steps towards transparency and accountability.

5. World’s Fastest-Growing Major Economy: Economic resilience amid global crises.

6. Aatmanirbhar Bharat & Defence Indigenisation: PLI schemes, Tejas, BrahMos, Akash, and domestic manufacturing.

7. Infrastructure Revolution: Bharatmala, Sagarmala, highways, bullet trains, and modern airports.

8. Digital India: Unprecedented expansion of digital services and public infrastructure.

9. Welfare Schemes for the Poor: Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala, PM Awas, Kisan Samman Nidhi, and Jal Jeevan Mission.

10. National Integration: Complete integration of Jammu & Kashmir by abrogation of Article 370.

11. Cultural Renaissance: New strength to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir and national cultural identity.

12. Continuity of Decisive Leadership: Swachh Bharat, COVID management, the world’s largest vaccination drive, and strong administrative decisions.

With the campaign slated to commence on June 9, many in the BJP say that this month-long initiative extends far beyond a routine performance review and publicity campaign. In the architecture of Indian politics, a government’s report card routinely serves as the foundational narrative for future electoral battles. This extensive public outreach is widely seen as the BJP’s strategic opening move to consolidate its political capital and shape the narrative ahead of the crucial 2027 electoral cycle, with 7 states to go to polls, leaving it to the electorate to decide whether this initiative is a genuine administrative dialogue or the opening script for the next major political face-off.

”All our union ministers, state ministers, chief ministers of BJP-ruled states, MPs, MLAs, and party workers will participate in a nationwide outreach campaign utilising diverse formats to highlight the 12-year achievements of the Modi government. The campaign will feature nationwide press conferences by ministers, door-to-door outreach, public chaupals, and sammelans, with a specific focus on tapping into first-time and Gen Z voters through Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabhas. Ministry performance booklets will be distributed to citizens across the country. Additionally, the campaign will prominently highlight the party’s recent electoral milestones, including the victory in West Bengal and the installation of the BJP’s first-ever independent chief minister in Bihar,” said a top BJP leader involved in preparing the programmes.

This mega-campaign underscores the BJP’s trademark approach of staying in a state of permanent election readiness. By mandating the participation of everyone from grassroots workers to chief ministers to union ministers, leadership is transforming a milestone anniversary into an intensive public audit. The distribution of localised ministry performance booklets, combined with high-visibility Chaupals, ensures that the narrative of a Viksit Bharat remains directly tied to the party’s field machinery, keeping the organisational rank and file deeply motivated ahead of the next major political cycle.
