Gurgaon: A 35-year-old artiste has accused a sub-inspector (SI), two head constables and a doctor of raping and sexually exploiting her on the pretext of helping her in a case involving another man. Sources said the woman was working as a stage singer and dancer for a couple of years.On Tuesday night, an FIR was registered at City Palwal police station against SI Manoj, head constables Mahender and Ankur, and Dr Rajesh and others under relevant sections of the BNS. The charges include those related to rape by a person in authority, sexual harassment, assault, criminal intimidation and common intention.A police officer said that all the accused in the case work as home guards in the city. “The woman went through a divorce a year and a half ago and has three kids from the marriage. The accused and the complainant met in Feb. After verification of the complaint submitted on June 2, offences were found to be made out against the accused and the case was registered. The investigation has already begun and the statements of the accused will be recorded.”The complainant alleged that she was earlier involved in a case against a man, whom she accused of sexually exploiting her and later causing a miscarriage after allegedly giving her abortion pills. She said an FIR in that matter was registered at Camp Palwal police station in Feb under BNS sections and the POCSO Act. The officer said that the FIR was cancelled.The woman, meanwhile, alleged that while pursuing the case, she came in contact with Mahender, who assured her of help and introduced her to SI Manoj. She alleged that around four months ago, Manoj and Ankur visited her house in plain clothes and later took her to Faridabad on the pretext of helping her in the case.According to the complaint, Manoj took her to a place where alcohol was being consumed and gave her a cold drink, after which she felt intoxicated. She alleged that she regained consciousness the next morning in a room with Manoj and accused him of establishing physical relations with her without her consent. The woman alleged that Manoj later continued a relationship with her by promising marriage and arranged a rented accommodation for her in HUDA Sector-2, Palwal. She alleged that he brought his colleagues — including Mahender, Ankur and Dr Rajesh — to her house, where they consumed alcohol and made inappropriate remarks.She also alleged that Dr Rajesh once misbehaved with her in front of Manoj, while the latter didn’t take action against him. The complaint said that Ankur sent her obscene messages, which she claimed were available on her phone. The complainant alleged that after she came to know Manoj was already married and had children, he stopped contacting her, abused her and threatened her.The offences include BNS sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 123 (causing hurt by means of poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence), 3(5) (common intention), 351(3) (criminal intimidation by threatening to cause death or grievous hurt), 64(2)(m) (rape repeatedly on the same woman), 74 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 75(2) (sexual harassment).
