The internet is divided between laughter and disbelief after a young man reportedly posed as India’s youngest Brigadier before being exposed.

After Failing NEET, 21-Year-Old Allegedly Convinced Everyone He Was A Brigadier In The Indian Army
We’ve all heard the phrase “fake it till you make it,” but 21-year-old Aryan Verma from Uttar Pradesh took it to an illegal level. After failing the NEET medical entrance exam, Aryan decided that instead of hitting the books for a third time, he would simply promote himself to one of the highest ranks in the Indian Army.
Aryan convinced his family and neighbours that he was the youngest Brigadier in history. He didn’t just stop at the lie; he built an entire cinematic universe to support it. He bought a professional uniform, rented a luxury SUV, and even hired two local bouncers for ₹2,000 a day to act as his “NSG commandos.”
The “Youngest Brigadier” Logic
To any military veteran, the scam was obvious from a mile away. In the real world, reaching the rank of Brigadier takes roughly 25 to 28 years of service. Aryan, however, tried to skip the entire ladder, thanks to no research. As one skeptical user pointed out: “You could estimate his dumbness by the fact that he chose to impersonate a brigadier directly. A 21 year old brigadier 🫡”
Another added: “The amount of effort he put into this scam… if he used 10% of it for NEET he would be a doctor by now 💀”
According to reports, Aryan’s downfall came when he was invited to give a “motivational speech” to young aspirants at the Shahjahanpur Cantonment. Eager for the spotlight, he arrived in his flagged SUV, only to be met by actual Army Intelligence.
When he was searched, the “Brigadier” was found carrying a fake ID, a forged seal from AFMC, and a toy pistol. In a final twist of irony, officials noted that Aryan has “knock knees”—a physical condition that would have actually disqualified him from joining the Army in the first place.
21-year-old Aryan Verma from UP dressed up as an Army Brigadier, told his family & neighbours he’s the youngest ever to reach that rank. After failing NEET, he even rented a fancy SUV, hired fake escorts & gave motivational talks.
Just to avoid studying he faked it all😭 pic.twitter.com/jQAJo6PjtV

The Internet Reacts
The story has triggered a mix of laughter and disbelief online. While some found the audacity hilarious, others were worried about how easily people were fooled. One user wrote, “I know a man of this type… I am sure society has too many of such imposters.”
Another added, “In amrit kaal this will be possible.. the way our armed forces distribute ranks to celebrities… making mockery of millions who go thru selection process.”
Aryan is now facing serious legal charges. It turns out that while studying for NEET is a nightmare, a military interrogation is a whole lot worse.
