A video from Rishikesh has gone viral on social media, leaving many people shocked and curious. The clip shows people taking part in an adventure activity that appears to involve a free fall from a considerable height, with no visible ropes attached to them.
At first glance, the jump appears similar to a movie stunt, which is why the video quickly caught the internet’s attention. Many viewers were surprised to see participants willingly stepping off a platform and dropping through the air before landing safely below.
As the clip spread online, reactions started pouring in. While some users called the activity exciting and thrilling, others were more concerned about safety. Several people questioned how the activity works and what safety measures are in place to protect participants.
Many users pointed out that adventure sports are becoming increasingly popular in places like Rishikesh, which is known for activities such as rafting, bungee jumping, and ziplining. However, they also felt that safety should remain the top priority, especially in activities that involve significant heights and high speeds.

The video also sparked discussions about whether adventure tourism operators should do more to explain their safety procedures to the public. Since short viral clips often do not show the complete setup, some users felt it was difficult to judge the activity based on a few seconds of footage alone. Others, however, argued that the visuals were enough to raise valid questions.
Comments on social media reflected the mixed reaction. Some viewers said they would love to try the experience, calling it an unforgettable adrenaline rush. Others admitted that watching the clip itself made them nervous and that they would never be brave enough to take the jump.
A user on X commented, “Looks so nice. Shud have bounce back option as well. Adventure sport is risky anywhere in the world, 50/50 life/death. Some more focus on top quality equipments is needed in India, that’s it.”
“Never indulge in such activities in India anywhere… Even if they are approved. Just friendly advice!” another commented.
Another user stated, “These are all AA BAIL MUJHE MAAR type of adventures.”
“Nothing is safe in India, not even a high-end B&B in Delhi, can keep you from being burned down to char. So a piece of rope in Hrishikesh is like a candle lit in the category 5 storm. Getting home from work is “adventure sport” in India. Everything above that is well of death.” The third comment was read.
