Deputy Commissioner Kumar on Tuesday directed officials assigned to conduct the NEET re-examination in the district on June 21 to ensure strict adherence to examination guidelines and conduct the test in a transparent and orderly manner.
Presiding over a preparatory meeting, Dr. Kumar reviewed the arrangements and instructed the officials to leave no room for lapses in the conduct of the examination.
A total of 1,958 candidates are expected to appear for the re-examination in the district. The test will be held at four centres–PES Engineering College, PES Science, Arts and Commerce College, Government Women’s College, and Government Girls’ Pre-University College (Kallu Kattada)– all in Mandya.
The Deputy Commissioner directed centre heads to verify in advance that adequate seating arrangements, drinking water, toilet facilities and other essential amenities are available for candidates.
He also instructed officials of the Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) to ensure uninterrupted power supply at all examination centres on the day of the test.
Dr. Kumar said all officials entrusted with examination duties must discharge their responsibilities diligently and work in close coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.
Superintendent of Police Shobharani and other district-level officials attended the meeting.
