HYDERABAD: Three members of a Hyderabad family were killed and two others injured in a road accident in the US state of California, according to information received by their relatives on Tuesday.News agency PTI reported, family members said the accident occurred on Monday night (Indian time) when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with another vehicle.The deceased were identified as Nazia Salma, her daughter and son. Her husband, Shaik Naveed, and their younger daughter sustained serious injuries and were admitted to hospital.A resident of Saidabad in Hyderabad, Naveed had moved to the United States around 10 years ago. The accident took place while he was travelling with his wife and children.Naveed’s father, Shaik Abdul Sayeed, said the family learnt about the accident from the police after contacting his son.He appealed to external affairs minister S Jaishankar to provide emergency visas to family members so they could travel to the United States.Meanwhile, Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan met the bereaved family and also urged the external affairs minister to facilitate the immediate issuance of emergency visas for their travel to the US.(With inputs from PTI)
