The new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift has achieved a full 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) crash tests. The subcompact SUV scored 30.41 points out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 43 points out of 49 for child occupant protection.
The top-end ZXi+ variant of the new Brezza was subjected to the crash test, which comes equipped with features such as six airbags, electronic stability control, seat belt pretensioners on the front row seats, seat belt reminders on all seats and Isofix child seat anchorages.
New Maruti Brezza BNCA Safety Rating – Adult Occupant Protection
The 2026 Maruti Brezza scored a total of 30.41 points out of possible 32 points in adult occupant protection. In the frontal impact test, the subcompact SUV offered ‘Good’ protection to the driver’s head, neck, pelvis, thighs and feet. However, protection for the driver’s chest and tibiae was rated ‘Adequate’. For the front passenger, the new Brezza provided ‘Good’ protection to all critical parts, while tibiae protection was rated as ‘Adequate’.
In the side movable barrier and side pole impact tests, the passenger’s head, chest, abdomen and pelvis showed ‘Good’ protection. The new Maruti Brezza facelift offered ‘OK’ protection in the side pole impact test.
New Maruti Brezza BNCA Safety Rating – Child Occupant Protection
The 2026 Maruti Brezza scored 43 points out of 49 possible in child occupant protection. It achieved a perfect 12 out of 12 points for the CRS (Child Restraint System) installation and the maximum 24 out of a total of 24 points in the dynamic score.
For the crash tests, Bharat NCAP used 18-month-old and a 3-year-old chid dummies, both placed in rearfacing child seats. The results showed that both dummies secured the maximum 8 out of 8 points in the frontal and 4 out of 4 in the side crash test. However, its vehicle assessment score was 7 points out of 13, resulting in its overall COP score of 43 points.
