Kanpur: Yoga week began at Nana Rao park on Monday. District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh inaugurated the Yoga camp ( June 15 to 21,2026) and encouraged those present to adopt yoga as a regular practice. He stated that ‘Do yoga, stay disease-free’ is notmerely a slogan but the foundation of a healthy and balanced life.The DM urged the residents to participate in large numbers in the main International Yoga Day event scheduled for June 21, 2026, at Green Park stadium. He stated that yoga programmes are being organized daily at various locationsacross the district—including Nana Rao Park, Mall Road, andPhoolbagh—during Yoga Week. The objective of these events is to raisepublic awareness about yoga and take it to the masses.
