Noida: A prank on a factory worker in an industrial unit in Greater Noida’s Rabupura has left him battling for his life. The worker, Sameer, suffered serious internal injuries on Tuesday morning after two of his co-workers inserted a compressed air pipe into his rectum.His condition remains critical. Police have arrested the two accused, Dilshad and Zeeshan.The incident took place at Surya Global Flexi Film Company, located in Sector 29 of Yamuna City. According to police and company officials, the three — who are from the same place in Uttarakhand and lived together in Greater Noida — were on duty.Sameer was sweeping the factory floor while Dilshad was using a compressed air pipe nearby. Another co-worker, Zeeshan, was also present at the spot. In what apparently was a practical joke, Dilshad inserted the air pressure pipe into Sameer’s rectum and released the compressed air. Police said Zeeshan assisted him in the act.According to the police investigation, Sameer began screaming in pain and bleeding soon after the act. The two men panicked and informed the factory supervisor. Sameer was then rushed to Kailash Hospital in Jewar.Medical examinations revealed that the victim suffered a ruptured intestine due to the force of the compressed air. Doctors said his injuries were serious and required urgent surgery. After initial treatment at Kailash Hospital in Jewar, he was referred to the Govt Institute of Medical Sciences in Greater Noida. He was later shifted to Yatharth Hospital near Pari Chowk for specialised treatment and surgery.All three workers were employed as sanitation staff at the company. Close friends, all three are residents of Mohalla Ali Khan in Kashipur, Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand.Based on a complaint filed by the head official of the factory, Dharmendra Singh Sengar, and medical findings, a case has been registered and the accused have been charged with attempt to murder.Investigators are examining the exact sequence of events that led to the incident.
