The Women’s T20 Asia Cup will be held in Dubai from August 28, the Asian Cricket Council has confirmed on Thursday.
The eight-team tournament will begin with Hong Kong taking on Thailand in a Group A fixture, while the highly-anticipated India vs Pakistan encounter in the same group will take place on September 5.
The final of the tournament is scheduled for September 13. All fixtures will be held under lights at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with a daily start time of 6:30pm local time,.
The tournament will see eight teams split in two groups of four, within which fixtures will be played in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals scheduled for September 10 and 11.
Sri Lanka is defending champion, having beaten India in a famous triumph in Dambulla in 2024. India is the most successful side with three victories. This is the sixth edition of the Asia Cup in the T20I format.
