Patna: Senior BJP neta and minister Ram Kripal Yadav said on Wednesday his party will take everyday account of development work in Bankipur from Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor (PK) after three months.Targeting Prashant, who defeated BJP in the Bankipur assembly byelection recently, Ram Kripal said he would be held accountable for every day’s activities after three months. Prashant has sought three months’ time to show tangible change in Bankipur.Ram Kripal affirmed that all the BJP workers would continue to remain active in the field with the same enthusiasm as before, engaging with the public to further strengthen the organisation.Meanwhile, Union minister Giriraj Singh also launched a scathing attack on Prashant. Referring to former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, he said Kishor is the “Kejriwal of Bihar” as he changes his stand every next day. “He is turning into a ‘second Kejriwal’ in Bihar, someone who knows only how to peddle lies. What kind of history will those who lost their security deposits in 238 seats create?” he asked while referring to the Nov assembly elections in which all the Jan Suraaj candidates had forfeited their security deposits.In a video message released on social media, Giriraj said the practice of creating false and misleading narratives among the public for political gain must be stopped. “The BJP would learn from this defeat. While the lessons from the byelection are duly acknowledged, the jubilation displayed by Prashant along with the Congress and the RJD is beyond comprehension. I would like to ask Prashant when the BJP had made such a statement that any cat and dog fielded by the party in Bankipur will win,” he said and added that a false narrative had been constructed.The Union minister further remarked that he would now watch to see how Prashant transforms Bankipur into Bengaluru.Citing the 2009 byelections in Bihar, Giriraj noted that the opposition had celebrated in a similar fashion back then by winning 12 of the 17 seats contested. “Yet in the 2010 assembly elections, the public handed the NDA massive victory and formed the govt,” he said.
