Haryana BJP President Archana Gupta: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday announced a fresh round of organisational appointments, naming Archana Gupta as the new president of its Haryana unit. The appointments were announced by BJP national president Nitin Nabin through separate notifications issued by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh.
Alongside the Haryana appointment, Union minister Harsh Malhotra was named the new president of the party’s Delhi unit. He replaces Virendra Sachdeva, who had been serving as the Delhi BJP chief until now. The BJP also announced leadership changes in Punjab and Tripura. Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon has been appointed as the party’s Punjab unit president. According to the official notification, all appointments have come into immediate effect.
Who Is Archana Gupta? Before being elevated as the Haryana BJP president, Archana Gupta served as the state general secretary of the party in Haryana. She succeeds Mohan Lal Badoli in the role.
Over the years, Archana Gupta has held several organisational responsibilities within the BJP, including serving as the BJP Mahila Morcha president for Panipat district and later as the BJP district president in Panipat. Apart from her political work, she is also known professionally as a radiologist.
Background And Family: According to a report in Mint, Archana Gupta was born on January 20, 1968, and has also been associated with the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP). Her husband, Dr Anil Gupta, is an ophthalmologist by profession. Their son, Aviral, studied at the London School of Economics, while their daughter, Arushi, is a doctor.
