West Bengal BJP chief Samik Bhattacharya said that the new government under Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari is “committed” to fulfilling its promises.

In a post on X, ahead of the Cabinet expansion, he said, “1 June, 2026 – A new beginning of hope in the lives of the state’s people.”

Listing the promises of his party, he said, “From today, free travel service for women has been launched in the state’s government buses. At the same time, the full implementation of the ‘Annapurna Yojana’ is beginning. The administration and workers have already taken to the field to ensure that government assistance reaches the homes of the actual beneficiaries. Standing by the people, for the development of the people — the new government is committed to fulfilling its promises.”

“Keeping Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” at the forefront, the double-engine government believes — the right to development belongs to the person at the farthest end of society as well,” he said.

“Honoring mothers and sisters, standing by the poor, and bringing a smile to every family’s face is our commitment. New government, new momentum — West Bengal moves forward on the path of development,” he said.
