Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend BRICS Summit scheduled to be held on September 12 and 13 in New Delhi, a close aide of the leader has confirmed. The announcement was made during a media briefing regarding the Russian President’s forthcoming visit to Beijing for a high-level meeting with the Chinese President. This upcoming trip will mark the Russian President’s second visit to India within a year. Additionally, there is a likelihood of a bilateral meeting between the Russian President and the Indian Prime Minister at the upcoming SCO Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The confirmation follows a recent meeting between the Russian Foreign Minister and India’s External Affairs Minister, where both sides highlighted the utmost importance of maintaining high-level political contacts between the two nations.
