Nagpur: US-based technology services company Saicon Consultants has acquired a Nagpur-based firm, Pragmatyc Global Private Limited, which has its unit in Mihan. The US firm, founded by Ramesh Lokre, an entrepreneur from Vidarbha, earlier acquired another city-based company, Valethi Technologies.Pragmatyc specialises in artificial intelligence, AI of Things (AIOT), intelligent automation, digital engineering solutions and other sectors. Saicon was founded in 1998 and has 1,600 employees catering to consumers across the US and globally as well.Talking to TOI, the founder and CEO of Pragmatyc, Praful Lichade, said his company was founded 16 years ago and has been working on AI-related technologies. The company also runs an AI capacity centre in Nagpur, creating solutions for manufacturing, education and other key domains for global customers.The acquisition strengthens Saicon’s capabilities in AI and IoT, enabling the company to help enterprises connect physical operations, enterprise data and AI-driven intelligence to improve operational efficiency, decision-making and business performance.
