Ultraviolette has expanded the X-47 Crossover motorcycle lineup with the introduction of a new entry-level variant. It is simply called the X-47, this version is priced at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it the most accessible model in the range. The biggest difference between the new variant and the rest of the lineup is the absence of Ultraviolette’s Hypersense radar technology. This system brings a host of advanced rider-assistance features, including blind-spot detection, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts and rear-collision warnings. By removing these features, Ultraviolette has managed to lower the asking price while keeping the motorcycle’s core package intact.

This new variant could appeal to riders who want the X-47’s performance and design but are not particularly interested in radar-based electronic aids. It also offers a more traditional riding experience while helping reduce the overall purchase cost. Despite the lower price tag, the motorcycle remains mechanically identical to the higher variants. Power comes from the same 27kW electric motor, which delivers a claimed top speed of 145kmph. Ultraviolette also claims a 0-60kmph sprint time of 2.8 seconds.

The X-47 continues to use a 7.1kWh battery pack, with a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Condition) range of 211km on a single charge. Now with the arrival of this new version, the X-47 family now consists of six variants, ranging from the Rs 2.49 lakh for the X-47, all the way up to the top-spec Desert Wing edition priced at Rs 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This gives the buyers a wider spread of features and price points to choose from.
