Times News NetworkKanpur:A two-day training programme on an Open Data Kit-based landscape diagnostic survey began at ICAR-ATARI Zone 3, Kanpur, to equip Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) scientists with modern digital survey techniques for collecting accurate and reliable information from farmers.The training programme aimed to support agricultural research, development of new technologies, and preparation of plans in line with farmers’ needs.On the occasion of the inauguration of the programme, ICAR-ATARI, Kanpur Director Dr Raghvendra Singh said that data collected through the ODK platform will help in understanding the real problems of farmers and in making scientific decisions.In the programme, expert Dr Malik said that the main objective of the survey is to understand the local needs and challenges of farmers in each district, so that research and agricultural extension activities can be carried out in accordance with their requirements.
