Traffic officials review inter-district diversion for heavy  vehicles during Shrawan

Times News NetworkKanpur: Deputy commissioner of police (Traffic) Ravindra Kumar held a meeting at the Police Office auditorium here on Friday, on inter-district diversion arrangements for heavy vehicles from Kanpur Nagar in view of the Shravan month and Kanwar Yatra from August 1, (Saturday) at 8 am to August 3 (Monday) till 12 midnight.A detailed review was conducted on the movement of heavy and commercial vehicles passing through various districts during the Shravan month and Kanwar Yatra, possible traffic pressure, and the safety of devotees.The DCP directed the officers concerned to ensure effective implementation of the diversion plan to be enforced in the district, so that devotees carrying water from various ghats for Jalabhishek did not face any kind of inconvenience.Necessary instructions were given to the officers after a detailed review of diversion routes, alternative routes, and barrier points.The DCP directed that during the diversion arrangement, ambulances, medical emergency services, and vehicles carrying patients would be granted complete exemption from diversion. All such emergency vehicles would be given priority and, if required, a green corridor would be provided so that they could be safely and swiftly taken to their destination in the minimum possible time.ADCP (Traffic) Kapil Dev Singh, ACP (Traffic) Manoj Kumar Singh, ACP (Traffic) Sanjay Kumar Singh and other officers were present in the meeting.
