The 2026 Tesla Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive is now available for test drives at Tesla experience centers across India. The American carmaker has also introduced new Artificial Intelligence (AI) features for Tesla owners in the country, including Grok, the intelligent AI assistant developed by xAI alongside Tesla’s existing suite of AI-driven technologies. These new AI advancements are delivered directly to customers through Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates.

The Tesla Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive is currently priced at Rs 50,89,000. It’s available with a down payment of Rs 6,00,000 and monthly EMI starting from Rs 39,990*. The EV is available to order via Tesla’s official website. Customers who place order before 30th August 2026 can receive a complimentary Wall Connector. Additionally, Tesla is also offering home charging support across all states in India.
Powered by ultra-responsive motors, the Model Y accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.9 seconds and delivers a WLTP-certified range of up to 500 km. It offers a top speed of 201kmph. Tesla claims that the RWD variant can gain up to 238km of charge in 15 minutes by using a DC fast charging speed of up to 175kW. The EV offers a storage space of 2,138 litres with versatile seating for up to five passengers, ample luggage capacity, and power-folding seats.
The Tesla Model Y Premium RWD variant comes with two interior theme options – All Black and Zen Grey. It offers a massive 16-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch touchscreen for the rear occupants. Other key features include a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, acoustic glass, powered tailgate, power reclining and folding rear seats, Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature, 7 airbags, ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) and more.
