A fresh theft at the Congress district office Rajiv Bhavan in Gandhi Chowk area of Chhattisgarh’s Ambikapur raised serious questions by the party over law and order in the city.

Thieves in Ambikapur allegedly stole around 72 taps from the office bathroom and also left behind a “love you” note on the floor before fleeing.

The incident took place in the considered VIP zone of the city. This is the third theft reported at Rajiv Bhavan, highlighting the repeated security breaches at the Congress office.

According to Congress leaders, the thieves removed the costly taps from the bathroom with such precision that it appeared they had no fear of getting caught.

After receiving information about the theft, Congress district president Balkrishna Pathak visited the spot and expressed anger over the incident. He suspected the involvement of drug addicts and anti-social elements active in the city.

Pathak said this was the third theft at the office and alleged that the confidence shown by the thieves reflected the deteriorating law and order situation. He also pointed out that the accused even wrote a message on the ground before leaving, which he described as a direct mockery of the police and administration.
