Hubballi: Responding to a TOI report published on Thursday, South Western Railway (SWR) has removed the stoppage at Gadag Bypass for summer special trains. The stoppage had been announced despite opposition from residents of Gadag, but the station was not mapped for online or offline booking. SWR has now decided to enhance passenger convenience by increasing the frequency of Train No. 06577/06578 Yeshwantpur–Vijayapura Express Special from weekly to bi-weekly service. At the same time, the operational stoppage at Gadag Bypass has been eliminated to improve efficiency and reduce overall travel time. The railway has marked Gadag Bypass as a through station for both trains.
