Times News NetworkSurat: Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) and ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) have jointly launched an Employability Enhancement Programme (EEP) aimed at improving the industry readiness of young engineering professionals from Surat and neighbouring districts.The one-year certification programme was inaugurated at SVNIT in the presence of Surat collector Tejas Parmar, SVNIT director Anupam Shukla, AM/NS India director (HR and Administration) Ashutosh Telang, and senior faculty members.The inaugural batch comprises 80 participants — 40 engineering graduates and 40 diploma holders — selected from Surat and nearby areas.Designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, the programme will provide participants with practical industrial exposure, technical skills, industrial safety training, quality management practices and professional competencies required in modern manufacturing.
