SP, Cong not accepting public mandate against them: Naqvi

Prayagraj: Former Union minister and senior member of BJP, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, said that after tasting defeat in recent elections, Congress and Samajwadi Party were “failed fugitives” creating uproar over public mandate. He was on a visit to Prayagraj on Tuesday. He said that after decades of playing politics of appeasement, the “power-hungry chieftains” were beaten by fair play and inclusivity. “The country is driving out those who attempt communal appeasement, so Opposition must abandon propaganda against democratic values and respect popular mandate, while introspecting to know why public is repeatedly rejecting them.”Naqvi said Congress’s bid to incite public by alleging vote theft fell flat and their practice of holding democracy hostage with dynasty rules led to defeat in Bihar, West Bengal and Assam. They will face similar fate in the elections in UP and other states. Naqvi claimed BJP and its allies have brought ‘Amrit Kaal’ of good governance to 22 states and 78% of the country’s total population with commitment and reverence for Sanatan values.About the ongoing crisis, he said Bharat was blessed with a stable govt under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a trouble shooter amid the global turmoil. “Raat bhar ka hai mehman andhera, Kis ke roke ruka hai savera” (Darkness is a guest of night; who can stop the arrival of dawn),” he cited lines of an inspirational song.
