Prayagraj: The 20-year-old son of a former gram pradhan of Goti village was shot dead by unknown bike-borne assailants in the backyard of his house in the trans-Yamuna pocket on Thursday, allegedly over a property dispute, police said.The broad daylight killing sparked tension in the village, following which a heavy police force was deployed.The incident took place when Kush Kumar was sitting in the backyard garden of his house when two to three assailants approached him and sprayed bullets. Hearing gunshots, family members and locals rushed to the spot and found him injured. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.Police were scanning the CCTV footage to ascertain the identities of the assailants. Two persons were detained for questioning. Family members told police that a Naini-based man and his supporters had threatened him over an old property dispute.
