Prayagraj: Kaushambi police, on Sunday, arrested a youth, Rahul Kumar (22), of Chittupur Mazra Kaini (Manjhanpur), on charges of killing his father and seized a country-made pistol of 0.315 bore and one used cartridge, which was used in the crime, from his possession.The accused son allegedly shot his father, Ram Naresh (58), dead near Chittupur Road under the limits of Manjhanpur police station on June 15 and escaped.Police said that the accused was demanding money from his father, which he got after selling a piece of his land, but his father was refusing. This led to a tussle between them, and on June 15 he shot his father dead and fled.An FIR was registered against Rahul, and cops declared a Rs 15,000 cash reward for his arrest. The accused was arrested near Patauna Road while planning to escape from town.
