‘So Scary’: Women Chased, Harassed By Men In Scorpio On Ranchi-Tata Highway; Internet Demands Action
What began as a road trip through Jharkhand quickly turned into a nightmare for a group of women after they were allegedly chased, threatened, and attacked by two men travelling in an SUV. A shocking video of the incident, which unfolded somewhere on the Ranchi-Tata Highway near Dasham Fall, has gone viral, leading to huge outrage and raising concerns over safety of women.
In a video shared on Instagram, a woman was heard screaming while a man on a speeding black Scorpio was seen gesturing something and overtaking them. The women inside the car were terrified and continued to scream as the black car was seen approaching them from the opposite side of the road to intercept them. “Hey bhagwan, aage se aa gaya (Oh God, he came from the front),” one woman was heard saying as she continued to cry.
Men Break Front Window Of Their Car
Moments later, the two men got out of the car and began aggressively attacking them. While they tried to open the doors, thankfully, they could not as they were locked from inside. When they failed, the men began throwing stones at their car, which shattered the front glass. The women were heard screaming, “Bachao (Help us)” but no one came forward to help until police intervened.
Later, local reports revealed that the women had left Jamshedpur for Hazaribagh when they had stopped for breakfast at a roadside eatery in Bundu before resuming their journey. The incident unfolded after noon near Dasham Fall when the speeding Scorpio collided with their vehicle. The women claimed the SUV driver was responsible for the collision, but instead of resolving the issue, they escalated it into an aggressive argument.
Fearing for their safety, the women decided to leave the place, but the two men chased their vehicle, repeatedly overtook it and ultimately blocked their path. After they hurled stones at the women’s car, their driver sustained injuries from the broken glass.
During the ordeal, the women also tried to reach the police helpline, but the police arrived almost 30 minutes later, by which time the damage had already been done. It is not known what actually triggered the two men’s aggressive reaction.

The disturbing footage has sparked outrage online, with many users demanding strict action against the perpetrators and questioning women’s safety in public places.
“Oh my god this is so scary,” said a user.
“Public safety is just a joke in India,” someone else remarked.
Another person said, “This is very, very bad; the government should take strict action.”
An individual commented, “You should keep driving; shouldn’t stop the car.”
“This is so heartbreaking to watch,” a different person shared.
