Siddaramaiah resigns as Karnataka CM, says he respects high command decision

Siddaramaiah resigned as Karnataka Chief Minister on Thursday and submitted his resignation letter at the Governor’s office, following directives from the party’s high command. As the Governor was out of town, Siddaramaiah said he handed over the resignation letter to the official secretary. The outgoing Chief Minister stated the decision complies with the high command’s instructions, reiterating a commitment to follow party orders.
