Security up for CM Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Ghaziabad
CM will review development projects in Muradnagar and Modinagar assembly constituencies

Ghaziabad: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath is set to visit Ghaziabad on Friday to unveil a statue of former state minister Rajpal Tyagi in Muradnagar and address a public meeting at KPC Degree College campus. The visit comes ahead of the annual Kanwar Yatra, when lakhs of devotees are expected to pass through Ghaziabad and neighbouring districts.Officials said the administration has stepped up security, traffic management and crowd-control measures for the chief minister’s programme. Arrangements have also been made to ensure smooth movement of devotees and minimise disruption to the public.District information officer Yogendra Pratap Singh said the CM is expected to arrive around 4pm and remain in the district till 7pm , reviewing development projects in the Muradnagar and Modinagar assembly constituencies, among other scheduled events.“These are the most important politically significant seats in the district. The chief minister is expected to assess the progress of key infrastructure and public welfare projects in these two constituencies and make some major announcements,” Singh said.Preparations for the Kanwar Yatra are also among the key objectives of the visit and the administration is expecting some important govt announcements will be made during the programme, he added.Officials said the district administration has completed preparations for the visit. On Wednesday, district magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mander and additional commissioner of police Raj Karan Nayyar inspected the Muradnagar venue and reviewed the entire route to ensure all arrangements are in place.Officials inspected security arrangements, traffic management, stage preparations, parking facilities, electricity supply, drinking water, sanitation and other civic amenities. Departments were also directed to complete all pending work and maintain seamless coordination for the visit.Senior officials also visited KPC Degree College, ITS Dental College, the PWD guest house, the New Bus Stand and the designated route for the CM’s convoy. Instructions were issued to ensure that roads are pothole-free, security arrangements are strengthened and inconvenience to commuters is minimised.Officials also held a review meeting at the Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium to assess security deployment, traffic diversion plans, barricading, medical assistance, protocol arrangements and emergency response mechanisms.
