The kindness and presence of mind of a delivery guy during a late-night delivery in Bengaluru has left people highlighting how little things matter more than grand gestures. The woman, who shared the incident on social media called it the “sweetest experience”, and revealed how the thoughtful action of the delivery partner touched her.
In an Instagram video shared on the page DakshNMom, the woman recalled that she suddenly realised around 10 PM that her baby’s diapers had run out. Having forgotten to order them earlier in the day, she quickly placed an order on Flipkart Minutes, hoping it would arrive as soon as possible.
She expected nothing more than a routine doorstep delivery but instead she was touched by the kindness of the delivery executive, who chose not to ring the doorbell or knock, fearing it might wake up her baby.
“Around 10:30 PM, the delivery partner reached my doorstep. But instead of ringing the doorbell, he simply called me and said, ‘Madam, please open the door,’” she wrote in the caption.
“That One Sentence Completely Melted My Heart”
She continued, “When I opened the gate, I asked him, ‘Why didn’t you ring the bell?’ He smiled and said, ‘I saw it was a diaper order. I thought there must be a baby at home, and the baby might be sleeping. I didn’t want to wake the baby, so I called instead.’” The woman was instantly moved by the delivery guy’s thoughtfulness.
“That one sentence completely melted my heart,” she said. “In a world where everyone is in a hurry, someone took a moment to think about a sleeping baby they had never even met. Sometimes, it’s the smallest acts of kindness from strangers that stay with you forever.”
