The Bharatiya Janata Party has strongly criticised Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi after he attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his foreign visits and called him a “traitor”.

The BJP accused Rahul Gandhi of insulting the country and targeting the Prime Minister repeatedly.

BJP says Rahul Gandhi insulted country

BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said Rahul Gandhi had insulted the people of India by using the word “gaddar” against the Prime Minister.

“Rahul Gandhi has insulted the 140 crore people of this country by insulting and using the GADDAR word for PM Modi. Rahul Gandhi’s remote control is the hand of Pakistan and other anti-national forces,” Bhandari said.

Another BJP spokesperson, Shehzad Poonawalla, also attacked the Congress leader over his remarks.

“Congress talks about being mohabbat ki dukaan, but this is their actual identity. They have always disrespected PM Modi, and insulted his mother also. Because the Prime Minister comes from an OBC background, they have always disrespected him,” Poonawalla said.

Rahul Gandhi’s fresh attack on PM Modi

Congress has been fuming over the viral PM Modi and Italy PM Georgia Meloni’s Melody moment. Speaking in Raebareli, Rahul Gandhi said, “An economic storm is raging over our heads, and our Prime Minister is busy handing out candies in Italy! Farmers, youth, women, laborers, and small traders are all in tears – the PM is laughing and making reels, while the BJP folks are clapping along.”

Rahul Gandhi had earlier launched fresh criticism against Narendra Modi over his foreign tours. He accused the Prime Minister of asking citizens to avoid overseas travel while continuing international visits himself.

The Congress leader also warned about an economic crisis and rising inflation.

“An economic upheaval is coming,” Rahul Gandhi said while speaking about the country’s economic condition.

He warned that prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas could rise sharply in the coming months.

“You will see where inflation reaches in just a few months. You will see where the prices of petrol, diesel and gas go,” he stated.

Rahul Gandhi further claimed that the government was advising people not to buy gold and avoid foreign travel because of the present economic situation.

‘Prime Minister is a traitor’

During his remarks, Rahul Gandhi also directly targeted the BJP and RSS.

“When these RSS workers come before you and speak about Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, you should tell them to their face that your Prime Minister is a traitor, your Home Minister is a traitor… Your organisation is traitorous. You have worked to sell out India,” Gandhi said.

The comments triggered a sharp political response from the BJP, which accused the Congress leader of using unacceptable language against the country’s elected leadership.
