Patna: The railways will run at least six special trains from different stations under Danapur division of East Central Railway (ECR) to facilitate movement of candidates appearing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) on Sunday.Danapur senior divisional commercial manager (DCM) Abhinav Siddarth said the services have been introduced to ensure smooth and convenient travel for examinees heading to their centres across the region.Under the arrangement, the Patna–Darbhanga special will depart from Patna at 4.30am and reach Darbhanga around 9.30am the same day. The Buxar–Patna special will leave Buxar at 6.30am and arrive in Patna at 9.15am.For the return journey, the Patna–Buxar special will depart from Patna at 6.20pm and reach Buxar at 9.05pm. The railways will also operate the Jhajha–Danapur special, leaving Jhajha at 3.40am and reaching Danapur at 9am. In the evening, the Danapur–Jhajha special will depart at 6.15pm and arrive at 11pm.Besides, a Patna–Gaya special will leave Patna at 6am and reach Gaya at 9am, providing additional travel options for candidates.The services have been planned in view of the expected rush of NEET aspirants and their guardians. Adequate arrangements have been made at stations to ensure hassle-free boarding and movement, Siddarth said, urging candidates to reach stations well in advance and follow railway guidelines.Sources said three more special trains — Varanasi–Patna, Ranchi–Daltonganj and Ranchi–Dhanbad — will also be run to manage the rush on Sunday.
