Patna: The Patna General Post Office (GPO) on Wednesday organised a Vande Mataram music campaign and a prabhat pheri as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign being conducted on the directions of the Directorate of Posts, New Delhi.The initiative aims to promote patriotism, national unity and respect for the Tricolour ahead of Independence Day.The music campaign was held in front of the historic GPO building, where postal officials and employees participated in a collective lip-sync presentation of the designated Vande Mataram song. Chief postmaster Rajdev Prasad, deputy chief postmaster (administration) Vinay Kumar Dubey and other officials took part in the programme.A selfie point and photo frame were also set up at the venue to encourage employees and visitors to support the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.Following the event, postal officials and employees took out a prabhat pheri carrying the Tricolour. The procession passed through several areas, spreading the message of national unity and urging citizens to join the campaign.The postal department appealed to people to actively participate in the initiative and hoist the national flag at their homes and establishments on Independence Day.
