Both Houses of Parliament witnessed repeated disruptions on Monday (August 10, 2026), with the Lok Sabha being adjourned within minutes of assembling at 11 am amid Opposition protests over various issues. The Rajya Sabha was also adjourned shortly after proceedings began, with both Houses reconvening at noon.
Amid the protests, the Lok Sabha introduced four Bills: the Tribunals Reforms Bill, 2026; the Minerals and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026; the Kerala (Alteration of Name) Bill, 2026; and the National Co-operative Development Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
The Rajya Sabha took up some business briefly before being adjourned again.
