A student has claimed he was blocked from campus placements before even getting his first job after missing a recruitment test. Sharing a screenshot of the notice he received, he said he had been barred from applying for further campus opportunities until the end of the year. The post has sparked discussion over whether such penalties are fair and how placement rules are enforced at colleges.
The student, identified as Ritesh Patel, shared his experience on X, where he expressed his frustration over the decision. Along with his post, he uploaded a screenshot of the notification he received, leading many users to question the strict action and offer suggestions on what he should do next.
Student Shares Notice On X
In his post, Ritesh Patel (@riteshpatel1884) wrote, “Officially banned from campus placements before getting my first job.” He also shared a screenshot of what appeared to be a notification from the placement platform, Superset.
The message informed him that he had been blocked from further job applications in the Campus Placement – Batch 2027 cycle until December 31, 5:00 PM IST.
According to the notification, the action was taken because he was marked absent for the TCS recruitment test held on June 17, this year, during the second shift.
The notice stated that this was the reason for restricting his participation in future placement drives for the time being. It also advised him to contact his college’s Placement or Career Services office if he needed any help regarding the decision.
The screenshot did not provide any additional details about the absence or mention whether the student could appeal the decision. It only listed the reason for the block and the period for which it would remain in effect.
Users Offer Advice And React
As the post gained attention, many users shared their reactions in the comments. While some were surprised by the decision, others believed the issue could be sorted out by speaking to the college’s placement office.
A user wrote, “What the hell you done bro.” Another said, “Kya se kya ho gya.” “Bro it is temporary only . Ask your tpo for help,” a person commented. “Who blocks like this, bro? Even the college folks have watched it in HD,” another user wrote.
