Bengaluru: No decision has been taken to increase funds for eggs in midday meals, department of school education (midday meals) said at a review meeting Thursday.Schools across the state have been urging govt to increase money allocated for eggs. The authorities provide Rs 5 for an egg and Re 1 for logistics. However, retail price has crossed Rs 8, making it difficult for schools to procure eggs.“The file is still with govt. They raised a few queries, which we have answered. No decision has been taken yet,” said Prakash Nittali, director, midday meals.
