Quick News Highlights:

Moto Guzzi’s upcoming middleweight roadster has been spotted testing again, and the latest spy shots reveal several changes over the earlier prototype. Expected to be based on the Aprilia 457 platform, the new motorcycle could become Moto Guzzi’s most affordable modern offering yet.

What’s New In The Latest Spy Shots?

Compared to the previously spotted test mule, the latest prototype features a redesigned LED headlight with Moto Guzzi’s signature eagle-inspired daytime running light. The rear section has also been significantly revised. Gone are the dual circular taillights seen earlier, replaced by a sleeker integrated taillight that now houses the turn indicators as well.

The motorcycle also appears to feature updated body panels and a black-coloured fork (the bright, shiny golden unit is gone), giving it a cleaner, more production-ready look. Additionally, the engine casing design has been revised, hinting at possible mechanical or cooling-related changes beneath the surface.

Aprilia 457 Platform Underneath

The upcoming bike is expected to borrow its engine platform from the Aprilia RS 457 and Tuono 457. Since both brands fall under the Piaggio Group, component sharing is hardly surprising. If launched, this would be the first modern Moto Guzzi to use a parallel-twin engine instead of the brand’s iconic V-twin layout.

Despite sharing its mechanicals with the Aprilia range, the bike retains a distinctly Moto Guzzi character. It gets a retro-inspired design with a round headlight, upright ergonomics and a wide, comfortable seat aimed at relaxed riding.

India Launch Possibility?

The new Moto Guzzi is expected to make its global debut at EICMA 2026 in Milan. If it eventually arrives in India, it could slot below the Aprilia Tuono 457, which is priced at Rs 4,01,226 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it an attractive option for riders seeking a retro-styled middleweight motorcycle.
