Patna: The Patna high court is set to get its second woman chief justice in its history as Chief Justice (designate) Meenakshi Madan Rai of Sikkim High Court will take oath on Friday, June 5.She will succeed Justice Rekha Manharlal Doshit, who was the first woman chief justice of the court, serving from June 21, 2010 to Dec 12, 2014.Born on July 12, 1964, Justice Rai was educated at Downhill, Kurseong, Lady Shri Ram College and the Campus Law Centre of Delhi University. She began practising law in 1990 and joined the Sikkim judicial service the same year. She was appointed district and sessions judge in East Gangtok in December 1990 and later elevated to the Sikkim High Court, eventually becoming chief justice.
