Mysuru-Kushalnagar greenfield highway speeds ahead
The entire corridor is being developed as a greenfield highway,

MYSURU: With land acquisition for the four-lane greenfield Mysuru-Kushalnagar NH-275 nearing completion, stakeholders are optimistic that the ambitious project could be completed ahead of its Dec 2027 deadline.The 92. 3km access-controlled highway, being built at an estimated cost of Rs 2,502 crore, will connect Kushalnagar in Kodagu district with the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway near Paschima Vahini, Srirangapatna, Mandya district, reducing travel time between Mysuru and Kushalnagar to less than an hour. Once operational, it may bring down the travel time between Bengaluru and Kodagu to under three hours.

98% Land Available For Package

Official data shows that close to 18.3% of the overall construction was completed, while land acquisition has reached the final stage across all four construction packages. Of the nearly 560.4 acres required for the project, 98% of the land was made available for packages 2 and 3, 97% for package 4 and 96% for package 5.Construction progress stands at 13.6% in package 2 (22.7 km), 24.5% in package 3 (24.1 km), 18.4% in package 4(26.5 km) and 16.6% in package 5 (18.9 km).Mysuru MP Yaduveer Wadiyar said the remaining land acquisition would be completed shortly.“The works are progressing as scheduled, and the project may be completed even before the Dec 2027 deadline,” he told TOI.Sources said that, barring an 8.5 kilometre stretch in Periyapatna, the entire corridor is being developed as a greenfield highway, promising faster and safer connectivity between Bengaluru-Mysuru and Kodagu.
