MUMBAI: An FIR is being registered against a motorist after he hit a petrol pump staffer with his car, dragged him for a short distance before hitting other vehicles at a petrol pump in Borivali East late Sunday. Kasturba Marg police detained him and sent him for a medical examination.Police said the motorist had an altercation with the supervisor at the petrol pump over firing his brother from his job at the pump last month. The two had an altercation following which the motorist tried to run over the supervisor in his car. The supervisor held on to the bonnet of the vehicle and got dragged for a short distance. The motorist also rammed into other vehicles at the pump. The Kasturba Marg police was informed and he was taken into custody. Officials are in the process of registering an FIR against him. Officials said the medical examination will show whether he was inebriated.The accused works at an automobile showroom and the car belongs to him.
