Patiala: A 25-year-old youth was stabbed to death and his friend seriously injured after a minor altercation over moving a parked vehicle in Sanaur late Monday evening.The deceased was identified as Jashan Virk, a local resident. His friend Baldev Singh, who intervened during the assault, was admitted to Government Rajindra Hospital and was in stable condition.The clash began outside a car washing shop in Khalsa Colony when the victims allegedly argued with two men over moving a parked vehicle to clear the way. The argument escalated into a scuffle, during which the accused allegedly attacked Virk with sharp-edged weapons. When Baldev intervened, he was also attacked.The accused fled, leaving both youths injured on the road. Bystanders took them to Government Rajindra Hospital, where doctors declared Virk brought dead.Sanaur police registered a murder case and launched an investigation. CCTV footage is being examined to establish the sequence of events and identify the accused. Police teams have been formed to trace them.
