Dharwad: Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) Chairperson Kantha Naik on Wednesday said a division-level job fair for the Belagavi region is being planned, with a final decision to follow submission of details by officials.Chairing a district skill development review meeting at the deputy commissioner’s office, Naik stressed generating more jobs for local youth in Hubballi-Dharwad, now a major industrial and education hub. She directed officials to provide employment-oriented training to Yuva Nidhi beneficiaries and ensure eligible youth are not left out.Naik said a meeting with industrialists would be convened to identify industry-specific skill needs and tailor training. She asked industries to share details on short- and long-term jobs and ensure fair wages for recruits. While noting strong prospects for ITI candidates, she called for improving opportunities for graduates and wider awareness of Future Skills.Officials were asked to submit outcome reports and promote schemes like My Profession, My Choice. Certificates, toolkits and uniforms were distributed to Nal Jal Mitra trainees.
