The Mangalore Urology Forum and AJ Institute of Medical Sciences will host the 37th Annual Conference of the Association of Southern Urologists (SZUSICON 2026) from August 7 to 9 at the Palemar Convention Centre, Mary Hill, Mangaluru.
The conference organising committee chairman and Medical Director of AJ Institute K. Prashant Marla told reporters here on Wednesday that the event would serve as a premier academic platform for the exchange of knowledge, research, and the latest advances in the field of urology.
The conference will bring together senior urologists, postgraduate trainees in urology, medical experts specialising in urology and trade delegates. More than 1,500 delegates and participants from across the country are expected to attend the three-day scientific meeting, Dr. Marla said.
Health and Family Welfare Minister U.T. Khader will inaugurate the conference at 5 p.m., in the presence of Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta.
Dr. Marla said this is the first time that a urology conference of this magnitude is being held in Mangaluru. The delegates showed great interest in visiting Mangaluru because of rich cultural heritage, cuisine and hospitality of the people in the region.
Committee secretary B.M. Zeeshan Hameed, treasurer Pritam Sharma and joint treasurer Roshan V. Shetty were present.
