Yamunanagar: A 50-year-old property dealer was bludgeoned to death on a busy road in Yamunanagar on Wednesday, with the assailant fleeing on a motorcycle.The victim, Shiv Kumar of Bhagwangarh village in Buria, had just stepped out of his car on Santpura Gurdwara Sahib Road when a motorcycle-borne attacker allegedly struck him on the head with a brick from behind, police said. Kumar collapsed on the road and was rushed to the civil hospital, where doctors declared him dead.Senior police officers, including SP Kamaldeep Goyal, and a forensic team reached the spot and collected evidence. Police have registered a murder case and are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the accused.Family members said Kumar had no known personal enmity. Police said all angles, including personal rivalry and a planned attack, are being investigated.SP Goyal said investigators had collected crucial evidence from the scene and were working to identify the accused through CCTV footage and forensic leads. The motive would become clear as the investigation progressed, he said.
