Mumbai: The Maharashtra govt has selected Ahmedabad-based Sevadan Arogya Foundation to build, operate and maintain residential facilities for relatives of patients at six govt medical colleges and affiliated hospitals under a ‘no-profit, no-loss’ model.A Government Resolution (GR) issued on Monday said facilities will come up at govt medical institutions in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Kolhapur and Yavatmal.“The state will execute an MoU with the Foundation for 49 years. Land required for the project will be leased to the organisation at a nominal annual rent of Re 1, and the lease may be renewed once for a further period of up to 49 years in accordance with the prevailing govt policy,” it said.However, the ownership, possession and control of the land will remain with the Maharashtra govt, the GR added.
