Lisa Kudrow FINALLY watches 'Friends' two decades after finale; praises Jennifer Aniston and calls Brad Pitt hilarious

Over two decades after wrapping up the hit sitcom ‘Friends’, actress Lisa Kudrow has revealed that she has finally watched all 10 seasons of the sitcom from beginning to end.The actress, who played the lovable character Phoebe Buffay on the iconic series, made the revelation during a conversation with former co-star Jennifer Aniston for Variety’s Actors on Actors series. Despite starring in the successful comedies, Kudrow admitted she had largely avoided watching the show for years, aside from a few screenings.

Revealing why she didn’t watch the show, she said, “There were whole episodes that I hadn’t seen. I just couldn’t sit there at home and have anybody walk by seeing me watching a show that I’m in. Because it felt embarrassing to me.”The actress explained that she recently decided to revisit the series and confirmed, “I have watched it now.”Reviewing the show, she said, “Loved it with all my heart. I’d end up sitting there for three hours and then it’s like two in the morning. It made me so happy to watch it.”

Kudrow also shared that some of her favourite episodes were the show’s annual Thanksgiving specials, including the memorable instalment featuring guest star Brad Pitt, who was married to Aniston at the time. “When Brad was on, that was hilarious,” Kudrow said.“I know. How funny,” Aniston added. “The movie stars that came on ‘Friends’. Brad, Bruce Willis, Julia Roberts. Isabella Rossellini. We had so many… Sean Penn.”

During the conversation, Kudrow also praised Jen’s performance, saying, “And man, you’re all good. Holy cow! You were really good, Jennifer. It’s such a ridiculous thing to say to people. Like, of course.”The ensemble ‘Friends’ cast included Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and the late Matthew Perry.Kudrow also revealed that she would be open to sharing the screen with some of her former castmates again, saying she would “love” to star in another sitcom alongside Aniston and Cox.

Originally airing from 1994 to 2004, ‘Friends’ became a global television phenomenon and remains one of the most-watched sitcoms in streaming history. The series won six Emmy Awards during its run, including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2002. Kudrow received an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 1998 for her portrayal of Phoebe.
