Jaisalmer: Three people were seriously injured after a long-standing land dispute turned violent in Sanwla village under Sadar police station limits in Jaisalmer Sunday.The injured were identified as Padam Singh (50), Derawar Singh (24) and Narpat Singh (30).According to police, the incident occurred in the evening, when an argument broke out between the two groups over an old dispute concerning a plot of land. The altercation soon escalated into a clash and people were attacked with a knife.Police reached the spot after receiving information and began investigating the circumstances leading to the confrontation.DSP Roop Singh Inda said that the injured from both sides were undergoing treatment. He said the exact sequence of events and the individual roles of those involved would become clear after the investigation.Derawar and Narpat are undergoing treatment at the Govt Jawahar Hospital in Jaisalmer. Padam, who sustained serious head injuries, was referred to Jodhpur for advanced treatment after receiving initial care.Police are gathering details and further action will be taken based on their findings.
