The Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has announced that beneficiaries under the Anna Bhagya scheme will receive their ration quota for both June and July 2026 in a single distribution cycle.
Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy said ration card holders must collect the combined allotment of the two months in one visit. To ensure smooth and hassle-free distribution, fair price shops will remain open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
In a press release, the Deputy Commissioner urged beneficiaries not to wait until the last minute and advised them to collect their entitlement at the earliest. The department stated that the distribution of the combined June-July 2026 quota will be completed by June 30.
The district administration has also warned beneficiaries against selling ration commodities on the black market, stating that such violations could result in the cancellation of ration cards.
According to the notification, the distribution of food grains for June 2026 has already commenced through fair price shops. In addition, the government has decided to distribute an extra 10 kg of rice per beneficiary under the Anna Bhagya scheme during June 2026 itself, covering the entitlement for May and June.
The authorities have appealed to beneficiaries to visit their designated fair price shops and collect their allotted food grains within the stipulated period. For complaints or grievances related to ration distribution, beneficiaries can contact the department’s toll-free helpline number 1967.
