Passengers onboard an IndiGo flight from Bengaluru to Chennai faced tense moments after smoke was reportedly noticed inside the aircraft while it was preparing for takeoff. The situation led to an emergency evacuation, with passengers exiting the plane using inflatable emergency slides as airline and airport staff rushed to handle the scare.
The incident quickly went viral after passenger Deepan Kannan shared his experience on X, writing, “There was smoke in my Indigo flight from Bangalore to Chennai. We had to evacuate immediately. I am still shaking. So scary!”
In another post, he praised the airline crew, saying, ‘Almost 14 hours after the incident yesterday, I am still thinking of the cabin crew. Awed by their courage. The sheer command they had to get us to safety.’ He also said that ‘They had our safety as their first priority! The clear instructions they gave us inside the aircraft! So thankful!’
